Mercedes Benz invites Jenny Wu to talk design - SXSW 2019

Mercedes Benz EQ race car displayed at LACE event during SXSW 2019 with people and branded building in background

LACE at SXSW 2019

Jenny Wu, director of LACE by Jenny Wu, had an amazing time last month at SXSW in Austin, Texas. At the event, she showcased the LACE brand, shared her knowledge on innovation and design, and collaborated with Mercedes Benz at their EQ Home.

This innovative pop-up was a celebration of next-generation technology and the launch of their all electric emission-free EQC. The pop-up served as a chance for innovators and creators across multiple disciplines to come together and discuss ideas regarding "new human spaces."

Jenny was invited by Mercedes Benz as a global leader in design to host a BBQ and run a LearningLab workshop with Philip Skogstad (CEO of Mercedes Benz Research &Development).

Jenny was also invited to speak on the SXSW panel - The Architects are Invading - to discuss how architects are infiltrating the fashion and beauty industries. She shared the stage with Sid Jatia (VP of Global ECommerce at UnderArmour), Rene Graham (CEO of Renzoe Box), and Matt Shaw (Executive Editor at The Architect's Newspaper).  These architects all shared their stories on how the creative process transitions from large scale to human scale.
