As defined by the Federal Trade Commission, vermeil is a deposit of 100 mils of gold over a sterling silver base. This is different than typical fashion jewelry which is plated over brass or other lower grade metals. All of our plated pieces meets the highest level of vermeil standard as well as an additional layer of electrophoretic coating— maximum protection for anti-tarnish and extended wear.

To prolong the life of your plating, we suggest that your plated jewelry should not be worn while swimming, bathing, exercising or when applying perfumes, lotions or hair products. To clean your plated jewelry, use a soft cloth and gently wipe (do not buff) the surface. You can also use our jewelry cleaner (here) but we would not scrub the surface with the brush. When not wearing your piece, it is best to store in the provided pouch so that it will not get scratched accidentally.

Our 18K White Gold is Nickel-safe standard, which contains 75% pure gold and 25% of silver and zinc. By limiting the use of nickel, which normally gives gold a whiter look, our natural raw material of 18K White Gold will be slightly yellow. Rhodium plating is widely used for white gold finish. It not only adds the white finish to the gold but also protects and coats a brilliant white, lustrous sheen.

We recommend regular cleaning of your 18K White Gold pieces with a soft 2 layered, jewelry polishing cloth or our non-toxic jewelry foaming cleanerhere. This will ensure that your piece will not be overly tarnished (which will then require professional cleaning.)

Our stainless steel material is printed using a binder jetting process and later infused with bronze, creating a material that is 60% steel and 40% bronze. Each ring is unique in its color, depending on how much the bronze is infused at the surface, ranging from a silver gray to bronze. It is also typical to see layer lines from the 3D printing process that looks like topography on the surface.

Unlike our stainless steel/bronze material, this material is a single alloy, 100% Stainless steel 316L that is printed using ExOne’s “Triple Advanced Compaction Technology.” This printing technology is currently only suited for certain geometries, therefore it is only available for a few ring designs. This material is highly corrosion resistant and a good material for rings that are worn regularly.

The grey steel material share the same 3D printing process using 60% stainless steel and 40% bronze for the base piece. It then goes through a patina process to "blacken" the ring.

For the grey steel pieces, the patina is a thin layer on the surface of the ring so it will wear over time due to regular use. This does not degrade the integrity of the ring. However, for rings that you wear regularly, we would suggest selecting stainless steel/bronze or stainless steel 316 finish for a consistent surface quality that will not wear down.

This steel material may oxidize over time if exposed to prolonged humidity, sweat, liquid or hand lotion. We suggest that you wipe down your steel pieces after each wear with soft cloth to keep them dry. As a precautionary measure, we have applied a light acrylic coating to prevent oxidation. You may want to maintain your pieces with this spray (here) periodically to prevent tarnishing.

The "green" most frequently occurs when your jewelry is exposed to moisture, makeup or the natural oils on your skin over a period of time. For light tarnish, you can clean it with rubbing alcohol. If this is consistently happening, you may want to treat the interior of your pieces with Jewelry Shield or clear polish to create a separation layer between your skin and the jewelry.

Yes, the only difference between a lab-grown from a natural diamond is its origin. A lab-grown diamond is “grown” inside a lab using cutting-edge technology that replicates the natural diamond growing process. The result is a man-made diamond that is chemically, physically, and optically the same as those grown beneath the Earth’s surface. We typically provide pricing for lab grown diamonds unless otherwise requested.

All diamond rings come with a cherry wood box, diamond certificate (IGI or GIA), and jewelry cleaner.

LACE guarantees your engagement ring and wedding band to be free of manufacturing defects. If you believe your ring has a defect, you are able to send it back to us at any time for an inspection where we will repair or replace your ring as deemed appropriate. 

This warranty does not apply to the replacement of any stones. Manufacturing defects do not include general wear and tear, scratching, discoloration due to contact with harsh chemicals, warped rings or damage due to improper use, cleaning or storage. Any third-party or outside jeweler altering your jewelry will void your warranty with us!

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is an industry-standard flexible, rubber-like material that is made from Selective Laser Sintering technology. The material itself is safe and free from toxic properties, therefore typically used in medical applications. Our TPU necklaces are lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Our Gemino and Orbis earrings are produced in nylon 12, a smooth, hard plastic that can be printed with high level of detail. It is extremely lightweight which makes it the perfect material for earrings.

Your TPU necklace can be washed with soap and water to remove light make up and dirt. If your necklace fade over time due to regular wear, you can refresh your necklace by recoloring it. Please check After Sale Service for pricing.

The collection is produced by combining layers of carbon fiber fabrics with PEEK, a high-performance thermoplastic matrix material. This new composite material is lightweight, strong and biocompatible.

PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a semicrystalline, high-temperature (up to 500° F) engineering thermoplastic often used in medical applications such as bone and cartilage replacement. This material is tough, strong, and rigid and is biocompatible. PEEK can also withstand boiling water and superheated steam.

While all the pieces in our Carbon Collection are made from hundreds of layers of carbon fiber, it can still break with excessive force. It is far more durable than our standard nylon pieces.
