Jenny Wu, director of LACE by Jenny Wu, had an amazing time last month at SXSW in Austin, Texas showcasing the LACE brand, sharing her knowledge on innovation and design and collaborating with Mercedes Benz at their EQ Home. This innovative pop-up was a celebration of next-generation technology and the launch of their all electric emission-free EQC. Jenny was invited by Mercedes Benz as a global leader in design to host a BBQ and run a Learning Lab workshop with Philip Skogstad, CEO of Mercedes Benz Research & Development. This was a chance for innovators across multiple disciplines to come together and discuss ideas around “new human spaces”.
Jenny was also invited to speak on the SXSW panel - The Architects are Invading - to discuss how architects are disrupting the fashion & beauty industry. Sharing the stage with Sid Jatia, VP of Global ECommerce at Under Armour, Rene Graham CEO of Renzoe Box, and Matt Shaw Executive Editor at The Architect’s Newspaper, these architects shared their stories on how the creative process crosses over from large scale to human scale.
